Buck's Pork Chops
I read something this week that got my blood boiling.
A fella named Tyson up in Indiana bought himself a stack of scratch-offs. Some space invaders game. Five bucks a pop. He bought over 20 of them right there at the counter.
Then he hit.
I'm talking the kind of win that changes your life. The man said it felt like a dream. His hopes shot straight up to the moon. He's already picturing what this does for him and his family.
So he walks up to collect.
That's When They Told Him The Ticket Was No Good.
Turns out the lottery had a "technical glitch." So they shut the whole game down and called all the winning tickets invalid.
Now let me get this straight.
They printed the tickets. They sold the tickets. They took his money for the tickets.
The man scratched a winner fair and square, didn't even leave the store. And now they want to act like none of it counted because THEY screwed up?
Hell no.
If I buy a steak and the cook burns it, that's on the restaurant. They don't get to reach across the table, grab my plate, and tell me dinner never happened.
You made the mistake, you eat the cost. That's how it works for the rest of us.
The lottery says it's all about "integrity." Funny how integrity only shows up when it saves them money.
Tyson says he's thinking about getting a lawyer. I hope he does. I hope he takes them for every penny they dangled in front of his face and then yanked away.
Here's my question for you: if you scratched a winning ticket and they told you it didn't count because of THEIR mistake, would you let it go or would you fight it?
Let me know.
Enjoy your Sunday!
