My buddy sent me a text last week that made me laugh out loud.

He was telling me about something his son shared with him.

His son has a four-year-old daughter, and she decided she wanted to throw a party.

So she did what any good host does. She told her daddy to go get ready.

Dad obliged. He left the room, changed his clothes, and came back looking the part.

That's when he found out he wasn't on the invite list.

While he was gone, that little girl had lined up every single one of her stuffed animals and toys in a row…a proper party line. And Daddy was at the back of it.

He had to wait his turn like everybody else.

To make matters worse, she informed him he was late. So not only did he have to wait in line, he had to do it in disgrace.

Now here is what impressed me.

That man stood there for a full fifteen minutes while his daughter worked her way down the line greeting each stuffed animal before she got to him.

They ended up having dinner late because of it.

My buddy was proud of his son's patience. I told him he raised him right.

I on the other hand, would've been a disaster. I couldn’t be that commited to the role.
