Bald Buck - No Mess Crispy Wings

I kicked my sister’s boyfriend out of my house.

Not too long ago, I had a cookout at my house.

It was nothing fancy. Hamburgers, sausages and chicken.

Everyone brought a homemade side except for my sister and her new boyfriend (Mike).

My sister brought 1 bag of store bought potato chips.

Her boyfriend Mike brought nothing.

But Mike grabbed himself a beer right away, even before meeting anyone.

When the first round of sausages was done, Mike asked…

”Is that it?”

My wife said, “We have hamburgers and chicken coming. It’s just taking a bit.”

Mike then goes into this long overly detailed story about his family's cookouts.

How they do steaks, brisket, shrimp, lobster, etc.

I got tired of his squealing.

In the middle of his story, I picked up his unfinished plate of food.

Then I told him he could get the hell out and go to his family's BBQ.

He looked at me like I had two heads.

I then said “This BBQ is clearly not up to your standard, Mike. So here.” I handed him the generic potato chips. “Take these chips you didn’t buy and leave.”

My sister and Mike left. The cookout was just fine after that.

However, I got a call from my Mom the next day. She said I overreacted.

She told me I needed to apologize.

I told her like hell I would.

The man came into my house and was disrespectful.

He’s lucky I just gave him words.

My wife thinks I can be a bit blunt but even she agreed with my decision to kick him out.

The feedback I’ve received from this decision has been 50/50.

I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.

Did I do the right thing or not?

Enjoy your Sunday!
