Bald Buck - Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta

Have you ever had a loved one that you cannot stand talking to?

I have a family member like that. I care for him deeply.

However, if he calls and I pick up that phone, I will get no less than 60 minutes of nonstop complaining.

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I am going to tell you something I recently did to get off the phone with him.

It was a rainy Tuesday night.

I was on the phone with the individual and we were 90 minutes into “conversation.”

It was more of a monologue.

I probably spoke for 10 of those 90 minutes. The rest was him complaining.

It was getting late. I was trying to get off the phone, but he wasn't making it easy.

So here is what I did. I put him on speaker.

I found a chance to get a few words in and started talking.

In the middle of me talking, I put my phone on airplane mode.

When I did that, on his end of the phone, he saw “Call Failed” instead of “Call Ended.”

So it looked like we got disconnected as opposed to me hanging up on him.

I left my phone on airplane mode and went to bed.

I know it's messed up, but I was that desperate to get off the call.

How do you deal with the people in your life that you love but don't love talking to?

Enjoy your Sunday

As my wife and I age, it's important for us to stay connected. One way we do it is by finding activities to enjoy together, like nightly card games or volunteering. We’ve also gotten better at communicating our feelings. I find that when I show more appreciation for her, it helps keep intimacy alive (So I  show as much appreciation as humanly possible 😂).

Before her roles as “Carrie” in 1976 and Loretta Lynn in “Coal Miners Daughter” in 1980, Sissy Spacek was a singer named ‘Ranbo’. In 1968, she released "John, You Went Too Far This Time." A song about John Lennon and Yoko Ono posing nude on an album cover.

It was once called “The Strangest House In The World.” In the 1930s, George Daynor built the 'Palace of Depression' in Vineland, New Jersey. He built it using mud, concrete, and junk materials. I really want to go see it. But I really don't want to visit New Jersey.
