Bald Buck - Barbecue Ribs

A young man recently asked me about my sex life.

When I want to be alone but around people, I work at a coffee shop.

Occasionally, I run into a nice young African-American gentleman.

Over the years, we’ve formed a friendship.

We couldn't look or dress any differently. Yet we have so much in common.

I love it.

Recently, he got married.

He knows my wife and I tease each other, but we've been madly in love for over 40 years.

He asked me what the secret was to having a successful sex life over the years.

That question was harder to answer than I thought.

I'm going to give you a summary of what I said, and I'd love to know your feedback.

I told him that I'm not just attracted to how my wife looks, but I'm attracted to her as a person.

I love hearing her voice, I love her kind heart, I love hearing her talk (sometimes….depends on the topic 🤣).

I think she would say the same about me.

But what's been one of the most important things is connection.

For my wife and me, that comes in the form of talking.

We have long, deep philosophical talks.

We have shallow, more mundane talks.

We talk about anything from our deepest held beliefs to what happened on our favorite show.

There is a lot more to what keeps the spice alive after 40 years.

But at its root, it is about connection.

I didn't realize how much talking strengthened my connection with my wife until I answered that young man's question.

I'm very curious.

What would you have told that young man if he had asked you that same question?

I'm going to gather the feedback, put it in a document, and give it to him.

I can't wait to see the look on his face when he gets your feedback.

Enjoy your Sunday.

A new real estate trend called co-ownership is revolutionizing a $1.3T market. Leading it? Pacaso. Led by former Zillow execs, they already have $110M+ in gross profits with 41% growth last year.
